Most of us are those who have born in the days of 80-90. We did not have mobile phones leaves about smart phones and 1000 of apps which are present today. Our famous time pass was sitting with family and watch our favorite serial together and that has defined our childhood. Those were not only a serial but many other memories are also associated with that. Let us cherish that moment by remembering famous serials of 90’s.
Mogli was a fictional character and the protagonist of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book stories. He is a naked feral child from the Pench area in Seoni, India, who originally appeared in Kipling’s short story “In the Rukh” (collected in Many Inventions, 1893) and then went on to become the most prominent and memorable character in his collections The Jungle Book and The Second Jungle Book(1894–1895), which also featured stories about other characters. Kala Bagira was my favorite character in that :).
A nagging wife, five dysfunctional daughters and a talking portrait of a dead wife – do you really need anything else to add to the comedy? Without a doubt, ‘Hum Paanch’ was one of the funniest television show. This serial was a complete family package which was coming at 8 PM Zee tv.
Dekh Bhai Dekh
Shekar Suman, Farida Jalal, and all the classic actor were superb in this show. Dekh Bhai Dekh was a show that defines the 90’s Indian joint family and love with them.
Naugarh, Vijay garh me thi takrar.. Naugarh ka tha jo rajkumar Chandrakanta se Karta tha pyaar …. was the best intro song of any serial of that time. 9 – 10 Am Sunday morning the complete nation used to sit in front of the television to see the iconic love story of Chandrakanta and famous villain Yakku.
This was not only my favorite show but this was very much liked by my father ( who used to be govt employee 😉 ) A solid performance by Pankaj Kapoor, Sanjay Shukla portraying the corruption in govt office in a very comic way was a treat to watch.
A mother of all crime petrol & CID, Tahkikat was premier show used to telecast at night 9.30 Sat Doordharshan. Sam D’Silva and his sidekick Gopichand was the household name in 90.s.
Sunday morning, we did had a Mtv to watch .. Rangoli was India’s does for music. Starting your day with beautiful songs at 7.30 morning with mama ki health ki chai ….. feel those days were best.
