Nawaz Sharif may resign as Pakistan PM, his brother Shabaz may take the charge

Due to Panamaget matter in Pakistan, in this case the problems for  Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family are increasing every day. The Joint Investigation Team has submitted its report to the supreme court, in this case, charged nawaz & his family of forgery. Nawaz called on a meeting with the Chief Minister of Punjab and brother Shahbaz Sharif & other top leaders of the party.

According to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, top leaders of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz discussed the strategy ahead in this meeting. After the involvement of Shahbaz Sharif in the meeting, the talk of making him the successor of Nawaz has begun.

The website said by quoting a senior minister from PMNL that Shabazz is dealing with the situation very carefully. Currently, he is firmly standing behind his brother and PM Nawaz Sharif but he knows that his brother has to go and he can’t make his daughter Maryam PM because she is also involved in the case. Shabazz is currently the prime minister of Punjab state of Pakistan and he doesn’t want to let go his grip from Punjab as well.

However, Sharif is not ready to quit and his daughter Maryam confirmed it in a tweet. “Insh’Allah he won’t resign because not a single allegation of misuse of public money during five tenures in power has been proven against him,” she tweeted. Sharif is serving prime minister for a record third time before serving twice as chief minister of Punjab in 1980s.
