ProKabaddi 2019 auction dates ll be held on 8th-9th April

Gujarat Fortunegiants is set to meet Bangaluru Bulls in ProKabaddi 2018 final

ProKabaddi league season 7 (PKL7) is going to start from 19 july 2019, its auctioned dates are announced and it ll be held on 8th and 9th April 2019.

Each franchise has the option of retaining a maximum of six players and three New Young Players (NYP) who have been selected through the Future Kabaddi Heroes programme (FKHP)– the PKL’s nationwide talent hunt for players under age of 22.

The list of the retained players will be announced mid-March. The upcoming auction will focus on bringing in more young players into the fray as teams can bid for a maximum of six NYPs that come through FKHP 2019, which began on February 5.

“The auction dates will be April 8 and 9 and it will take place in Mumbai. And just to go on record, we will do (conduct) season 8, 2020, starting in July (next year). It will help everybody,” League Commissioner Mr. Anupam Goswami told reporters on Thursday.

Last season saw the Bengaluru Bulls secure their maiden title with a win over the Gujarat Fortune Giants in the final. The Bengaluru-based outfit’s Pawan Kumar Sherawat scooped the Most Valuable Player award as well.

There were many record-breaking amounts that were splashed in last year’s auction. Indian raider Monu Goyat was purchased by the Haryana Steelers for a mammoth Rs.1.51 Crores, making him the highest paid player in the tournament’s history.

It will be interesting if any team would smash this record in the auctions next month.

Mr. Goswami has also said that Jaipur pink panther will come back to their home town.
