Hackers stole 1800+ crore worth of crypto from Poly network – Biggest theft in Recent history

Poly Network is built to implement interoperability between multiple chains in order to build the next generation internet infrastructure but on 10th of Augest the company has revealed that almost 600 million dollar worth of token were stolen from the network by the hackers /Hacker.

Polynetwork has release a set of wallet number and ask everyone to deny the incoming from those wallets. The token lost were belong from a Eatherium,Binance Smart Chain & some other.

Later today Poly Network later urged the hackers to return the stolen funds to several of its digital addresses, saying it planned to take legal action. Also said they ll file an case against the hacker.

By late afternoon around $258 million in stolen tokens had been returned, according to public blockchain records and crypto tracking firm Elliptic.

Around 4:00 UTC time on Wednesday, the attacker wrote “Ready to return the fund!” in an Ethereum transaction that was sent from the PolyNetwork Exploiter address to itself. That message was followed by another one that reads: “Failed to contact the Poly. I need a secured multisig wallet from you.” And they also return 250 million worth of token by now. But still large chunk of token are in possession of hacker.

This is by far one of the largest theft of Defi- tokan in Crypto history which makes Crypto investment even more risky.
