Tribute to a most popular loksabha speaker of the Indian history 

Former lokashbha speaker and CM from Meghalaya died  due to heart attack in morning of 4th March 2016. 68 year sangama was MP from Meghalaya tura seat. Both the houses observe 2 minute silence to give tribute to this great leader from Meghalaya & both the houses got adjourned till 8 march.

Some of the Major Unknown facts about P.A. Sangama’s Life

1.P.A sangama born in September 1st 1947 in chapathi village of Meghalaya, after doing his graduation from Shillong  he went to dibrugarh to complete his post graduation in International relations. then he also completed his LLB.

2. Sangama Became the president of State youth congress in 1973, after that he remain the joint secretary of state congress committee.

3. Sangama came to lok-sabha first time when he got elected in 1977 and 8 time he got elected as an MP from Meghalaya.

4. He also nominated the member of observant committee during the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayi government.

5. He also served as a Chief minister of Meghalaya from 1988-1990.

6. He  had also hold a potion of lokshaba speaker from 1996-98.

7. After his dismissal from congress party he with Sharad pawar and Tarik anwar made a NCP ( Nationalist Congress Party )

8. He also made party with Mamta banerjee’s party collusion.

9. He resigned from NCP to fight presidential election, he fought that election as against Pranab Mukharjee from congress.

10. After some differences with Sharad pawar he made National Peoples party in 2013 and in 2014 election he again elected from Tura seat from Meghalaya.
